Big News!

So I posted a cryptic update last night…here is the news!

We were a couple hours outside of chicago Monday night with some old friends when I got an email asking me if I could talk on the phone the following evening. I replied that I would do my best depending on my signal strength and location. Right as we drove into Mom’s hometown in Kentucky, I got a text message asking if I could talk then, I replied back, half hour, and then when we arrived at my aunts place, I went to the back room and waited for the call. It was a bit of a 2nd interview.

I had my main interview back in November, with a guy and a lady. Oddly enough, the lady who emailed me to let me know she was doing my application evaluation had the same name as my interviewer. When she emailed a second time to set up our phone call, she mentioned that as she read my application she realized my story sounded familiar! It was completely unintentional on the hiring side, but completely intentional on God’s part. So cool. We prayed first and then she asked me a few brief follow-up questions and then she gave me some positive and encouraging feedback from my references. It was like receiving a big, warm hug of words of affirmation!! After the bulk of that was over, she let me know that I was accepted to join staff with Campus Crusade! Training begins in June and I will be learning much more this week. I don’t yet have my campus assignment. Still praying for UCR!!

Thanks for your continued prayers, as I process this news and spend time with the Lord, and as the next steps continue to be unveiled and I begin the process of raising support and all that craziness and exciting stuff!
